1. began brainstorming did some research on some websites. here are a couple:

4. I realized that it was a bad habit of mine to be thinking latterally too much, so I decided to only focus on one idea.

Therefore, I chose the 'multicultural idea' and developed it using different ways of rendering it and exploring different ways

dealing with the type and image and how they relate to one another:

-FIRST I looked at maps that I had collected from online and printed some of them on paper that I

had stained. I also rendered by drawing maps, and cutting others out, and scanning them in in different ways:

-EVENTUALLY I came up with something like this:

-I then considered applied another method of rendering the maps so that they would look more accurate, and the idea of Pangea would come across better. I also continued to consider another possible option for the background:
